At Gotta Love Logan, we believe in the power of community — and when Rotary Browns Plains set out to create 100 Pamper Hampers for homeless and disadvantaged women, the Logan spirit showed up in the most beautiful way.
While speaking with families at Forest Haven about the initiative, Sharol from Rotary was overheard by a young homeschooler. Deeply moved by the stories of women doing it tough, this young lady jumped into action. She visited local op shops and collected a large bag of donated shampoo and body wash to contribute — and then took it one step further.
Passionate about natural living, she’s also hand-making jars of natural deodorant and lip balm to add a heartfelt, personal touch to each hamper. But it didn’t stop there.
At her homeschool, students who are learning to sew have offered to make drawstring bags to hold the toiletries — and together, the children are now helping to pack all the hampers. Yes — Logan kids, handmaking, sewing, packing, and giving. That’s community in action.
And as if our hearts weren’t full enough, a local mum quietly approached one of the Rotary volunteers. She shared that, as a single mother, she knew all too well what it felt like to be forgotten on Mother’s Day. She gave a donation toward the hampers — a gesture that spoke volumes about empathy and solidarity.
These moments aren’t just touching — they’re transformational.
They remind us that when we come together, even small actions can restore dignity and remind someone that they matter.
This is what we’re about. This is Logan.
